Shaping Sequence, 2010

multi-channel video installation for three projectors
10' x 18'
30min

Contemporary culture is full of constant stimuli. Rarely do we allow time for silence or find ourselves engulfed in quietude. Shaping Sequence slows down our hectic pace, giving way to stillness. Utilizing the lines of the body within the containing structure of the camera frame, I create an intimate space of shape-shifting forms. Large-scale video projections, edited from over 40 improvised compositions, emphasize subtlety, contour, natural light and slow evolution in real time.
