P.O.V. (reflexive), 2011

video installation [silent]
seven televisions, seven stands

P.O.V. (reflexive) scatters loops of moving body parts across multiple monitors to present an array of awkward, precarious and uncommon views. The body in motion, filmed from wrist, bicep, thigh, head, ankle and shin, alters the sense of gravity and its location. Recognizable portions of the body are transformed into something more monstrous and deformed. Compressing the space between viewer and viewed and shaking up the common sense of where perception is located, these videos are dynamic explorations of movement from an unusual angle.
